A Delicate Bridge by Rajesh Bhatia

A Delicate Bridge by Rajesh Bhatia

Rajesh Bhatia’s A Delicate Bridge is a thoughtful look at how easily people can drift apart, and what it actually takes to pull them back together.

The plot centers around Pratiksha and Rahul, a couple with a two-year age gap who start out deeply in love and get married. Things take a turn when Pratiksha’s focus shifts heavily to her career. She begins distancing herself from Rahul, leaving their marriage on shaky ground—so much so that even well-meaning advice from friends can't fix the damage.

The book doesn't stop there; it weaves in the stories of two other couples, Manav and his wife, alongside Vikrant and Kaamya. As all three relationships play out, their paths cross in unexpected ways, eventually bringing a young girl named Tara into the picture.

Who Tara is and the story behind her presence forms the core mystery of the plot. But the standout element of the book is a visually impaired girl who, despite not being able to see, helps the other characters gain a much clearer perspective on their own lives and relationships.

The author handles these messy, real-world marriage dynamics with a lot of care, avoiding cheap drama. It’s an engaging read that pulls you in right from the start. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a relationship or just want a grounded story about how people connect, this book is well worth picking up.
