This book is a touching
second-chance romance that makes the reader feel how relationship may change due to time. I could feel the "then and now" of a relationship in a vivid manner. The author does an excellent job of depicting the characters' development over a decade and the
multicultural elements.
The narrative follows Sakura and Vikas. The life journey of Sakura deeply affected me. She isn’t just a woman in love , she’s someone who chose herself,
rebuilt her life from scratch, and learned how to survive without the person she once planned forever with. There’s quiet strength in her, a softness that comes from healing rather than forgetting.
Vikaas, on the other hand, is all heart and longing. He feels deeply, loves fiercely, and carries his grief with him like a shadow. His search for Sakura isn’t just about finding her, it’s about confronting the man he has been and the one he still hopes to become.
The flaws in this story give it a very real feel. The miscommunication, the hesitation, the emotional messiness, it all mirrors how love works in real life. Nothing feels rushed. Every interaction holds weight, every meeting feels fragile, as if one wrong step could break everything all over again.
The story feels like a warm evening spent wandering unfamiliar streets with familiar emotions because of the multicultural setting and
travel elements. Their love story develops naturally and beautifully. While the plot follows familiar themes of love, misunderstanding, and regret, the writing and
character growth give it a fresh and heartfelt touch.
