The Gift! : A Tool to Explore One's Divine Connection by Sebeline
This book delves into self-discovery, divine connection, gratitude, and understanding life in a profound manner. The story begins with Dadu and Akeli, who find happiness in little acts of life. Dadu reminds me of his past and how all happens in the jungle and how his life takes twists and turns.
It reflects a never-overwhelming feeling. It provokes very powerful takes enough to shake the unbothered corners within us. I found myself revisiting certain lines, not because they were complex, but because they felt familiar.
The most beautiful element of this book is its ability to create a sense of stillness.
In a world that demands faster, aggressive movement and thinking loud and feeling less, this beautiful book does the exact opposite. It asks to slow down, to listen and notice...carefully and with observation!!
There are elements of small poetic verses in between that make you ponder. One of the verses from the book: I won’t add to the list of my failures by betraying you while I count my last breaths. I admit to my flaws. I admit to my shortcomings. I pray to our ancestors to help me heal... Heal me, for my soul is wounded!
Through its thoughtful passages, the book creates a safe space where readers can acknowledge their emotions, find liberation from guilt, and begin to embrace themselves fully. The author shares emotional parts of her life, talks about important relationships, and also brings in symbolic scenes from nature and animals. It is the kind of book that slowly makes you think about your own life too.
The author comforts and provides reassurance through his thought-provoking narrative. She tries to put forward a perfect example of the Dadou family and his perspective and indirectly guide humans to lead their lives with humanity and sympathy.
Overall, it is a heartwarming read.
