To Kill or Not to Kill by Srinath Ramesh
"To Kill or Not to Kill" is an immense psychological thriller. Set on the story of the protagonist, Leo, who is assigned an operation by the organisation. His quest to find out the culprit and prove himself as a successful operative after his two failed operations.
It is intriguing to read his journey, and the suspense behind the operation is maintained throughout. The twists and turns kept me engrossed in the story until the end.
The prose is both poetic and crisp, frequently obfuscating the distinction between action and reflection. Particularly moving and sensitively handled is the depiction of memory loss and recovery, in which Leo tries to put together a secret reality and rebuild his history. However, the use of repetition in several parts slightly diminishes the plot's tightness.
Overall, the read is captivating.
