Sighs of Shadows by Neelam Saxena Chandra

Sighs of Shadows by Neelam Saxena Chandra | Book Review

Sighs of Shadows is an unforgettable collection of poetry that explores deep emotions often hidden behind closed doors. Neelam Saxena Chandra gently shows the layers of pain, strength, and silent resistance through poems that speak from the soul.

Each poem gives space to voices that many overlook. The writing is elegant and sincere. This book offers a sense of pride for every reader who has ever faced hardship. It brings light into difficult places.

Verses that impacted me a lot:
💗" Reshma walks the ramp,  One day she was a victim of acid attack;  Her eye lost, her face disfigured,  Innocent target of a heartless maniac!"

💗" At times, hues are well organized,  What emerges is a beautiful painting  Ready to be embellished in the canvas of the world;  But more often than not,  These hues are spread so wildly  Instead of serenity and calm,  Chaos and incoherence emerge,  Whose echoes, in unison with the untamed masses,   Give births to offspring of violence,  Painting the canvas in different shades of red! "

💗"Mama! Don ’ t weep!  Whenever you feel like giving up, just remember-  You too have a lovely daughter,  You would surely want a beautiful future for her!  "

The intense emotional upheavals makes the reader dive in thought-provoking dilemnas that need to be thought precisely.

Overall, it is a commendable read.
