Unbridled The Garcha Way by Col Kuldeep Singh Garcha , Geetika Saigal | Book Review
"Dreams are not what you see when you sleep. Dreams are what keep you awake." ~ A.P.J. Abdul Kalam
This memoir is a testament to the power of dreams and the relentless pursuit of purpose. From a village boy who had never seen a polo match to receiving the Arjuna Award, my journey proves that no dream is too big, and no obstacle is insurmountable if you have the courage to chase it.
Beyond his distinguished military service, Col. Garcha’s entrepreneurial ventures, particularly in the 1990s when India was emerging as an IT hub, have consistently struck me as remarkable. His foresight and initiative, alongside his son, in navigating this evolving landscape demonstrated his ability to seize opportunities and embrace new challenges.
The book is broken up into three sections. The author's childhood is covered in the first section, "Roots of Valour." In the second part, "Forge of Steel," his training at the Indian Military Academy and his love for polo are the main topics. Finally, "Reflections of Love, Life, and Legacy" talks about his love life, family, friends, and friends. Every section is very detailed, which I really admired.
This isn’t just a polo memoir; it is proof of the power of faith and perseverance. I came away from this book with hope and inspiration. It reminded me that if you have the courage to chase it, no big dream is too big.
