The Grip of Greed

The Grip of Greed by Naveen Kundra is a gripping novel about desire, treachery, and fights for control. Set in the urban communities of Victoria and Azaad Nagar, the story investigates class partitions and the lengths individuals go to in quest of progress.

At the core of the story are major areas of strength for two ladies: Tanvi Mehra and Soundarya Kapoor. When companions from Azaad Nagar, their lives take totally different turns. In the wake of confronting embarrassment, Tanvi becomes fixated on retribution, focusing on Soundarya, a once-strong finance manager. Their own fight before long grows into a political tempest, attracting degenerate legislators, shrewd money managers, and media figures.

The story becomes about a battle depicting their fight exposing a landscape filled with dishonest parties, curtains hiding the truth and ambition far more poisonous than anyone can imagine.

The choices that they make, as seen in the plot of this book and the other characters, are often driven by emotion, pride, anger and greed, creating waves of emotional barrage for the readers.

Kundra's composing keeps the speed quick and the strain high. Both Tanvi and Soundarya are intricate characters, neither completely right nor wrong, making their fight all the more captivating. The supporting characters—like the manipulative Boss Clergyman Sidheshwar Gupta and the baffling rec centre coach Malaika—carry added profundity to the story.

The novel incorporates mocking components, for example, the making of surprising political jobs like the 'Joy Pastor' and plans like FLS and FEWS (government-subsidised free alcohol, power, and water programs). These subtleties reflect genuine political techniques, adding authenticity to the plot.

I liked the book for its convincing story and advanced characters. One commentator portrayed it as "pacy and strong," featuring its investigation of a degenerate political framework and the many figures required, from scamsters and eager-for-power authorities to spies and activists.

The Grip of Greed is a strong read, loaded up with interest, show, and sharp friendly editorial. It's an account of force and retribution, offering knowledge into desire, duplicity, and the cost of progress.

However, the one aspect that felt lacking was the overwhelming number of characters and the abundance of events happening simultaneously. In the latter part of the book, the narrative became somewhat chaotic, making it feel cluttered and in need of refinement.
